World Record Live Stream!
On the 29th of July, the challenge begins! An electric-powered Land Cruiser will attempt to cross a seven-kilometre stretch of Darwin’s harbour floor with the aim of breaking two world records.
The crossing takes place on the 40-year anniversary of an underwater voyage of a diesel-powered Land Cruiser across the same harbour floor in 1983, pioneered by a team of Darwin locals.
Camera footage from the diver’s helmets will be livestreamed to a big screen at Mindil Beach for the public to watch from 10am on Saturday 29 July as part of a free community event hosted by Pip Ainsworth and the Trader Bar.
